An opportunity has arisen with Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability’s Community Relations unit for a Community Relations Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis up to 31 December 2024.
Position Details
The main focus of the Community Relations Unit (CRU) is to resolve antisocial behaviour through support measures and early intervention. The multi-skilled team deal with everything from personal relationships and neighbour disputes to persistent offenders and youth disorder.
Our Community Relations Officers undertake investigations into complaints of Antisocial behaviour in line with the Antisocial Behaviour etc Scotland Act 2004 and associated legislation, undertaking and recommending appropriate actions to resolve those complaints guided by Council procedures and relevant statutory guidance. Investigatory skills along with housing, social work, community safety and legal knowledge would be advantageous for applicants to hold.

The work pattern for the post is 35 hours per week, across Monday to Friday. The annual salary is on an incremental scale starting at £33,047.49 and progressing to £39,916.53.
