Perth and Kinross are looking for a Community Learning Worker to become part of a dynamic, solution focused youth team. Perth and Kinross Council has changed the way in which young people receive services by having focus on early intervention.
As part of an integrated service the Youth Work Section provides an early intervention focussed approach for young people aged through a range of projects, activities and achievement awards which aims to support young people deemed to be vulnerable and on the edge of statutory services.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team which includes both full and part time qualified and experienced Community Learning and Development practitioners, working in a flexible manner across the localities of Perth and Kinross, schools and in the facility @Scott Street. The successful applicant will work within a locality and its secondary school and drive forward the promise agenda.
The successful applicant will not only have to demonstrate a commitment to working with young people, but be able to evidence how their support has led to better outcomes for the young person. You will also require to have a qualification in community learning and development and evidence of supporting vulnerable or care experienced young people.
You will support the ongoing work to deliver on the Promise and develop champions boards in school for care experienced young people and will support care experienced young people to reach their full potential.
