An opportunity has arisen within the Rapid Response Team for a Community Care Assistant. The successful applicant will be expected to function as part of an integrated team approach.
You will assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists by undertaking a range of tasks and support roles.
You will be required to undertake simple assessments of a client’s need in order to provide equipment, minor adaptations, and packages of care and support respite breaks to enable them to maintain their independence at home. You will also be required to carry out reviews within the community.
You must enjoy working with people and be able to work independently within a community setting. Previous experience of working in a health or social care setting is desirable as is a qualification e.g HNC/SVQ level 2 in Care or a related discipline.
You should have good organisational skills and a working knowledge of IT.
You must hold a current driving license.
This position constitutes regulated work with protected adults and membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential. The successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or to undergo a PVG Scheme Record update check prior to appointment
Jobholders should hold an SVQ2 in Care or related discipline and hold a current driving license.
