Clerical Assistant (Property)

35 hours per week
Permanent
£22,341 – £23,071 (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We have a permanent vacancy for a dedicated individual, to join our Housing Services.

This is a varied role covering the administration and management of Council houses.

You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated. You will have responsibility for ensuring your work is accurate, of high quality and delivered to tight deadlines.

You should have excellent administrative and IT skills including the ability to take and produce minutes and be a confident communicator both verbally and in writing. In addition you should have the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise your own workload.

You will be required to hold or complete the Professional Development Award in Housing Law for Advisers at the first intake following appointment.

You will be required to attend training courses within and outwith Orkney.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
