Waking Nights -Female Support Worker – Children’s

This large organisation is dedicated to providing care and support to children and young people. Their aim is to improve and maintain the quality of life for children and adults by nurturing and promoting independence through their person-centred approach.
They are currently on the look out for support workers to join their team in one of their services in Neath. The client requires female support workers for a service that provides support for two young women. The service users can display challenging behaviour, but it is rarely aimed at support workers.
They are looking for support workers who are open to night shifts, as well as some long days.
Your new role
In this role you will be required to work waking night shifts from 7.30pm to 7.45am, and provide on going support to the service users throughout the night.
There will also be opportunities for long days, but predominantly they will be waking nights shifts, offered on an adhoc/temporary basis.
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience working in a similar setting, working with young people with mental health problems is essential and experience working night shifts is desirable. You need to be passionate about care and be compassionate by nature, as well as patient and kind.
You need to have eligibility to work in the UK, and be able to provide references for your 2 most recent employees.
