Wakefield – Residential Support Worker – Children’s EBD
Rewarding Support Worker opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people in the Wakefield area. This opportunity offers flexibility so it would be ideal for someone who is looking to pick up extra shifts on top of existing commitments or for someone who is looking for full time hours. Many of the temporary assignments we work on have the opportunity to turn into permanent positions.
We are looking for outstanding residential Support Workers to work within the Children’s Residential sector. All of the residential settings we work with endeavour to create a home environment that exceeds the needs of children and young people. You should be passionate for children’s and young people’s well-being and have a caring and patient nature.
You will be working as a Support Worker within our client’s residential services across Wakefield, for children and young people of mixed gender aged between 8 – 18 years. Service users may have a Complex Needs diagnosis such as EBD, ADHD, Autistic spectrum disorder, OCD, conduct disorder and Challenging Behaviour and/or physical disabilities, learning disabilities and other emotional or social needs.
We pay a competitive rate varying between £9.77 – £11.00 P/H. Previous experience of working with Children & Young People is essential (at least 6 months within the last 2 years). Working as a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for:

We have many opportunities available, for both day and night shifts and/or sleepovers, that can work around your lifestyle. It would be great if you held an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social care Children and Young People or equivalent, however if you have good experience working in a Support Worker capacity then we would love to hear from you.
