I am currently working with a small, local service provider near the Merthyr Tydfil area who operate multiple sites. The company focuses on enriching the lives of their children and young people and engaging them with nature and the outdoors.

Your new role

Our client is seeking a Registered Manager in an active and engaging Children’s home, with children and young people who have a wide variety of complex issues, mental health challenges and traumatic experiences. You will manage one of their homes, working closely with the RI to ensure the effective and smooth running of the home. The setting aims to be as fun and ‘family feel’ as possible with regular camping trips and other excursions, connecting the young people to the outdoors and enriching their lives. They want someone fun, who is also comfortable being vulnerable who can really connect with the residents.

What you’ll need to succeed

• QCF Level 5 Children and Young People.
• Demonstrable experience managing teams in a Residential Children’s & Young People’s setting
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Experience with complex and/or challenging behaviour.
• Experience with Autism
• Full UK Driving Licence

What you’ll get in return
