Children’s Senior Residential Support Worker Permanent

Your new children’s home

A 12 month old 3 bedroom EBD home. Currently operating using a therapeutic, pace model – which all employees will be trained in! This house is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker who can confidently plan a day in a children’s care home! This company believe in promoting from within, they will support your progression and invest in ensuring you are equipped with the knowledge and skills you will need for day to day life at the home!

Your new role
Reporting to the Residential Manager, you will be working alongside children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. This role will involve you working sleep-in shifts along with days, on a 2 on 4 off rota. A qualified senior support worker will be paid at £12.50p/h, an unqualified senior support worker will be paid at £12.00p/h.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have experience working within a children’s setting, especially with children who present challenging behaviour and EBD. You will also need to have held a full driving licence for at least 12 months. Ideally you will have experience as a Senior already however we would consider strong applicants with relevant experience at a Support Worker level.

You will need to be a positive team player, who can be resilient to the nature of working within a children’s residence. The senior role will require you to delegate to the rest of your team regularly. It will be crucial you thoroughly understand your responsibilities and can communicate effectively at all levels.
