Children’s Residential Registered Manager Needed for 9 Bed Service Supporting Children with Autism – Cheshire
Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client in the Cheshire West area, for an experienced registered manager to join their 9 bed service supporting children with autism and additional needs. This service recently opened in the last 12 months and is set in beautiful surroundings, purposefully built to support up to 9 children. This service will be supporting children with the most complex needs and autism, and therefore the company will only be accepting candidates who have previously been registered with Ofsted.
Your new role
This role will include the usual duties of a registered manager and you will be responsible for the efficient running of the service, ensuring safety of all children and Ofsted regulations are met. You will manage the team to give the best possible support to the young people, and report into the senior management team.
This service will be supporting children who would ordinarily be placed into secure units or onto hospital wards. The company are aiming to give these children another chance, and will be placing them onto a 2 year behavioural plan to help them cope with challenges better and to have the best outcomes for them and their families. Managing this service will be challenging but highly rewarding.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must have experience of managing a children’s home, as well as experience of supporting those with autism / challenging behaviours. You will have your level 5, full UK driving license and be able to work 5 days per week, with some on call duties. You must have a good track record with Ofsted and be knowledgeable of the processes required.
What you’ll get in return
Very competitive salary depending on experience as well as the chance to run the service how you see best. Full support from the senior management team, and the opportunity to progress within the company.
