Children’s Mental Health Support Worker
Your new company:
A well-respected children’s mental health residential service in the Coventry area are looking for experienced support workers to join a friendly and encouraging team on both a temporary and permanent basis.
Your new role:
You will be supporting and delivering care to children under 18 with severe mental health issues. You will be responsible for providing a high level of compassion and support to all service users. Other key responsibilities will include completing assessments of needs and maintaining records of children’s progress.
Successful candidates will work a variety of shift patterns, which may include some waking night shifts. This is a temporary position with opportunities to develop into a permanent role should you be a valuable fit to the organisation.
What you’ll need to succeed:
You will be supporting individuals who have complex emotional needs and can demonstrate some challenging behaviour therefore you must have at least six months experience of working with children with mental health illnesses. You must also demonstrate an empathetic and non-judgemental approach to care as well as the ability to handle challenging situations.
