Position: Children's Key Worker – Children's School

Location: Broadstairs

Contracted Term: 42 Weeks – Term time only plus weeks

Salary: £24,203.64-£27,256.50

About the employer:

This highly regarded school for children with autism and learning difficulties is located near the beach in Broadstairs. It caters to kids aged 5-19 and has earned national recognition for communication and behaviour management, as well as the Investors in People Gold standard.

About the role:

As a Key Worker, you'll warmly welcome and build relationships with children and young people, fostering kindness and providing support for their education and personal growth. You'll also advocate for their needs and commit to term-time support, inset days, and two weeks of respite care work during Easter or Summer holidays.

The ideal candidate for this role will be:

Responsibilities

The Keyworker will be responsible for the following:

* Providing care and support to one or two young people

* Working with families and other professionals

* To make a 24-hour curriculum

* Planning and delivering activities

* Maintaining records

* Liaising with other staff

* Attending meetings

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with children and young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. However, if you have the right qualities and are willing to study, we will consider you for the role.

Please note: 41 weeks per year consists of 38 weeks in term time, 1 week of inset days, and 2 weeks’ short-term break as directed by senior management.
