Registered Manager – 4 bed children’s home – Learning Disabilities / Autism – Wirral

Hays have partnered with a children’s service provider who are now looking for an experience Registered Manager to join the team. The service provides young people from the ages of 8 – 18 with short breaks / respite care. This independent company is looking for someone with experience of managing children’s services, who can grow with them as they plan to expand to opening more services. As a smaller company based in the Wirral area, this offers an exciting opportunity to have your voice heard and have a real say in how the home is run.
Your new role
As the Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility for the day to day management of the homes and will be accountable for the delivery of high quality service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in your care in order for them to achieve their full potential.
You will be required to support, lead and manage a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children and young people with their physical, psychological, emotional & social development. You will ensure the home provides high quality care services that supports the needs of children and young people, to be an advocate for their well-being and to provide strong, motivational leadership to staff.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must have up-to-date knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015. Extensive experience of working with children with challenging and emotional behaviour in a residential care setting. Experience in a residential setting, including staff recruitment, supervision and development. Experience of budget management and change management. Commercial awareness in a child centred business. Motivation, flexibility and sense of responsibility
What you’ll get in return
Salary – up to £45000 per year
Monday – Friday working pattern – 9am – 5pm with flexibility if needed
