Salary: £47,000 + (Depending On Experience)
What You’ll Bring As a Children's Home Manager
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Children’s Services (or equivalent).
* Experience: Proven experience managing a children’s residential home, with a track record of securing good or great CQC ratings.
* CQC Registration: You must be a registered CQC manager.
* Knowledge: A strong grasp of child protection legislation, therapeutic approaches, and best practices in children’s care.
* Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a motivated and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities: Make a Lasting Impact
* Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring compliance with all regulations and the highest standards of care.
* Leadership: Inspire and manage a team, creating a positive and supportive work environment.
* Personalized Care: Collaborate with social workers to design individualized care plans that support the needs of each child.
* Well-being Monitoring: Regularly assess children’s progress, making adjustments as needed to enhance their care.
* Safe Environment: Maintain a warm, safe home that encourages personal growth and development.
* Staff Development: Provide ongoing training for your team, particularly in managing complex behaviors.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with families, external agencies, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Desirable Qualities
* Experience developing care plans for vulnerable young people with complex needs.
* Familiarity with therapeutic strategies and behavioural support.
