Deputy Children’s Home Manager Required for 4 Bed Autism and Disabilities Home – Wirral

This company is now looking for a deputy manager to support the registered manager and responsible individual in the running of the house. With 40+ years combined experience in the sector and a registered manager who has been previously Ofsted “Outstanding”, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with a small company.
Your new role
You will support the registered manager with the effective running of the home, ensuring the home is run to Ofsted standards. You will manage the team of seniors and support workers to give the best person centred support to each child, conducting regular staff supervisions and appraisals. As Deputy Manager you will demonstrate practical leadership in childcare and assist in the organising and supporting of staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person.
Hours of work – 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday plus on call duties.
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous experience in a senior/management role and excellent knowledge of legislation and Ofsted requirements. You must be able to demonstrate experience of staff recruitment, development and supervision as well as experience of budget management and change management. You must have completed your level 3 in children and young people and hold a full UK driving license.
