Children Residential Support Worker, Permanent, solo placement, Preston
Your new company
You will be working for a residential care provider which has homes across the North West and specialises in providing the best possible care for young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. They are in the process of opening new homes and are recruiting into both their established and new homes. This role in specific is for their established home based in Preston. They are actively recruiting for both RSW and also Senior’s.
Your new role
As a Support Worker you will be required to provide high quality care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of the Children and Young People. If you are a senior you will supervise a team of support workers to ensure they provide high quality care and support as well as assisting your team leader to run your workplace according to standards and legislation. You will be required to work full-time (160 hours contracted a month) over varying shift patterns including days, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Paid sleep-ins will also be required.
What you’ll need to succeed
It essential you have a minimum of two years’ experience supporting children and young people within a residential setting or a similar role and a Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, you will be an enthusiastic, committed and resilient individual who wants to make a difference by working as part of a team to support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
