Hays Social Care are working with some outstanding providers to provide vulnerable individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to have fulfilled lives and gain further independence. We work with children and adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism, dementia, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, down’s syndrome, and other various complex needs.
Your job will be to make an unimaginable difference to the lives of the young people you will be working with, you will play a pivotal role in developing their key skills and helping with their emotional well-being and learning of key life-skills.
As a support worker you will be assisting vulnerable individuals with personal and practical care, medications, daily activities, trips out, socialising, accessing the community, and leading a more fulfilled and independent life.

We have days, evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleep-ins available. We will offer a minimum of £9 an hour, weekly pay, free training, free DBS, holiday entitlement, the ability to study towards your NVQ qualification, the opportunity to gain experience in some of the leading organisations in the country, a £250 referrals bonus should you be able to recommend a colleague, guaranteed hours, and a great personal service where you are properly looked after.
You will be able to gain experience in a variety of settings and have the option to take a permanent role with any one of our providers should you wish to take your career to the next step.
You will need to be empathetic as well as resilient, with a thorough understanding of the needs of working with vulnerable people.
It is essential that you will be able to provide a consistent and structured approach, with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as on a one to one basis. Good communication, listening skills are patience are also important.
