An exciting opportunity has arisen within the care at home teams.

Home Care within Aberdeenshire Council provide specialist care and support to service users across four priority areas, to allow service users to build upon their skills and abilities to live independently, while promoting their rights, autonomy and choices.

The new role of Care Team Support Officer will act as a positive role model for care staff, supporting and mentoring home carers on the frontline to maintain high quality of service as well as looking for opportunities to continually improve.

As this is a new role, there will be opportunity for the postholders to shape and develop the role. It’s a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will be passionate about bringing out the best in their colleagues and enabling service users to live as independently as possible.

A full current valid driving licence and access to own car is essential and travelling across Aberdeenshire will form part of the daily role.

As an employer Aberdeenshire Council will provide and fund training including attainment of modules within SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC Registration within 6 months of employment.
