Jobholders must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Social Care, and hold an additional –p0-supervisory/management qualification and must have dementia awareness training in line with Promoting Excellence, including competence in relation to stress and distress management techniques. Experience of working in a care service including the supervision of staff is essential.

The jobholder will undertake training specified within the Units training & staff development plan in relation to administration of medication.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £26,918.62 per annum.
