To plan, provide and monitor personal care for Care Home residents; leading and supervising carers to deliver the service, in accordance with practices, policies, procedures and standards.
The jobholder will work as part of the care team, delivering direct personal care and support to residents; developing and reviewing individual care plans; compatible with professional social work practice; and within the policies procedures and standards set by the Division.
Jobholders must be educated or be willing to work towards to HNC/SVQ3 in Social Care, and hold an additional supervisory/management qualification and must have dementia awareness training in line with Promoting Excellence, including competence in relation to stress and distress management techniques. Experience of working in a care service including the supervision of staff is essential.
The jobholder will undertake training specified within the Units training & staff development plan in relation to administration of medication.
