To plan, monitor and supervise the delivery of Care at Home service to enable service users to live as independently as possible within the community.
To monitor, supervise and mentor Social Care Assistants and any delegated others in the delivery and quality of care.
To plan and ensure packages of care are delivered appropriately, in accordance with the outcome of assessments and the Councils eligibility criteria.
Monitor and ensure the quality and standard of professional practice and performance of service delivery is appropriate and in accordance with the National Care Standards
Work with partnership services.
Supervise, support and mentor Social Care Assistants and any other delegated others.
Undertake CPD and participate in corporate staffing initiatives.
Recent experience of working in a Health/Social Care setting with supervisory experience
Demonstrable understanding of main issues facing Community Care
Experience of risk assessment process
HNC in Social Care/SVQ3
SEN; SRN or other applicable professional qualification.
PDA in supervision or evidence of ability to obtain the qualification within 12 months of starting in post.
Evidence of ability of ability to meet SSSC registration requirements and continuing PRTL requirements.
Good communication skills, both oral and written
Competent in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft and bespoke IT systems. Strong customer care skills and inter-personal skills
Ability to manage change effectively.
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
Effective record keeping and administrative skills including IT systems.
Confident in use of IT equipment including working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.

Evidence of being self-motivated and ability to motivate others.
Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to assess care requirements.
Ability to negotiate and liaise with appropriate others and resolve conflict.
Ability to be flexible working in a 365/7 day a week service.

You will be expected to travel efficiently between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van
