You will promote social inclusion and offer opportunities for people with disabilities in a range of community settings. Support service users by increasing their social and independent living skills in their own home in a person centred way that promotes the principles of social inclusion.

You should have the ability to travel throughout Fife and undertake physical tasks such as pushing and pulling of equipment including hoists, wheelchairs and bathing chairs. Must have, or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF6 SVQ2 or equivalent to meet Scottish Services Council registration.
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
You will have experience/awareness of Scottish Social Services Council Care Standards and the SSSC’s Codes of Practice.
Access to training and and qualifications specific to your role – Duties include personal care, moving and handling and providing support to enable people to access activities. Flexibility will be required in the way the days/hours are worked for each post dependant on the needs of service users. The successful candidate will work on a four weekly Rota basis which include days, evenings, weekends, sleep-overs and awakened night shifts.
