You will be part of a team within a modern care home working and supporting as a Care Assistant in a 84 bedded care home, responsibilities will include, to work within an established care team to ensure delivery of person centred care for our Residents. You will promote and encourage meaningful activity and interaction throughout your day. You will be made welcome and supported to be part of our team within Queens Quay House. The role will include promoting quality standards to comply with current legislation and council policy. To contribute to Residents care and support, be part of the team providing updates to Families, contributing to electronic care notes, meaningful activities, outings and ensuring all aspects of individualised care and support is supported.
We will welcome and support applicants who would enjoy being part of our busy team, be caring and compassionate and be willing to offer and share ideas. We have a pathway for development to Senior Posts, training opportunities and peer supports for staff refresh and learning on various topics.
Don’t worry if you have no care experience or if you are changing direction in your career, we will support you with full training and develop your skills.
If you don’t have the relevant qualifications, will you be willing to apply and fund these if successful at interview. Currently staff are being supported to apply through local training provider and SVQ is being funded.
Annual salary is enhanced with an additional 10% shift allowance for those working Rotational shift pattern.This is a part time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
