This is an exciting opportunity to join the West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership’s Business Support Service which has responsibilities across four Teams: Strategy Policy and Change, Performance and Quality, Finance and Contracting and Customer and Community
The business support teams provide support to services across the health and social care partnership related to Community Care, Children & Families and Criminal Justice services. The service supports delivery of a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance and flexible support to a range of strategic and operational managers and teams.
Two opportunities to join the service have arisen:
The aim of Self Directed Support (SDS) is to achieve better quality care and support and improve outcomes for people by giving them greater choice and control over how their support needs are met and by whom.
This post will support the strategic development of Self Directed Support and the implementation of the Self-Directed Support Framework Standards in West Lothian.
The post is Fixed term until 30/09/2023.
This post will provide project management support for the Promoting a Career in Care Project, support the development of career pathways for care and explore innovate and creative approaches to recruitment.
The post is Fixed term until 30/09/2022.
The post holders will be required to work from home during the current pandemic and thereafter be based within an open plan working environment with occasional travel out with West Lothian as required.
Candidates ideally will have knowledge of strategic planning, policy development and project management within the context of integrated health and social care, social work, and social care services. The post holders should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills and have experience of strategic planning and project management. A positive and enthusiastic outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude would fit well with the service’s ethos.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and /or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
