This is an exciting opportunity to join the West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership’s Business Support Service which has responsibilities across 4 Teams: Strategy Policy and Change, Performance and Quality, Finance and Contracting and Customer and Community
The business support teams provide support to services across the health and social care partnership related to Community Care, Children & Families and Criminal Justice services. The service supports delivery of a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance and flexible support to a range of strategic and operational managers and teams.
Whilst flexibility is required this post is located within the Strategy, Policy and Change team with a focus on developing strategic plans and to co-ordinate and lead working groups and projects teams across the service and in partnership with other agencies and providers.
The post holder will be required to work from home during the current pandemic and thereafter be based within an open plan working environment with occasional travel out with West Lothian as required.
Candidates ideally will have knowledge of strategic planning, policy development and project management within the context of integrated health and social care, social work, and social care services. The post holder should also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills and have experience of strategic planning and project management. A positive and enthusiastic outlook with a ‘can do’ attitude would fit well with the service’s ethos.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
