Your new role
As the companies Behaviour Management Specialist you will use you knowledge and experience with positive behaviour management to asses behaviour traits and build training and support for staff to proactively help those living in the homes. Using the PBS system you will analyse data pertaining to individuals to look for tigers and build bespoke support training, manage data around interventions with focus on limiting physical intervention through positive reinforcement.
You work with other members of the Behavioural Forum to construct and update behavioural support profiles and formulate well-structured positive behavioural intervention programmes to ensure each individual is supported in a person-centred way to meet their educational, social, vocational, and therapeutic needs.
Conduct behavioural assessments by meeting with staff and using the PBS functional analysis tool, carrying out initial information gathering interviews. To present findings to the care team when required.
Carry out external assessments for prospective new service users, including carrying out service needs assessments in and out of county and meeting with agencies, service users and families.
