Bank staff adult support workers required to work within Stoke-on-Trent
Your new company
Hays Social Care Stoke are currently recruiting for Support Workers who have experience in working with adult LD. We currently work with several Adult Support Service’s in Stoke-on-Trent and have flexible shifts available, allowing you to tailor your own working hours to suit your needs. You will be part of an established team that work well together and will be quick to build strong relationships with service users.
Your new role
As a member of the team you will use your experience and knowledge of supporting adults with complex needs to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. Adult’s with learning disabilities can be vulnerable to abuse or exploitation. As their support worker you’ll make sure their rights are upheld and they are being treated with consideration and respect. We are happy to be able to offer you a choice of assignments with shifts that suit you however, some flexibility will be required.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need at least 6 month’s work experience within the UK working with vulnerable adults and/or children with LD. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Have your own transport will be beneficial as the locations you will be expected to travel to will vary. You’ll also be someone who has a strong desire to make a difference.
