Bank Shifts – Support Worker – Flexible – Marshfield, Cardiff
Your new company
My Client is a large not for profit organisation that is looking for hard working and reliable Support Workers to do bank shifts. These shifts are used to help cover staff absences and sickness. During the current situation, care homes and support living settings are being frequently hit by staff members having to self isolate, and so are in need of experienced Support Workers to come in and help them in times of trouble.
You need to have experience working in similar settings, such as residential care facilities, nursing homes or supported living, as you will be required to hit the ground running, and step in at a moments notice.
My client needs Support Workers in the Marshfield area, just outside of Cardiff, where they have a residence for older adults living with Complex Health needs.
Your new role
In this job you will have to support service users, helping them to move and get around. The work is hands on, and will require some elements of personal care.
You will be needed to care for individuals, ensuring that you maintain their dignity at all times, while showing them respect.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, we ask that you have at least 6 months experience working in a similar setting. Due to the nature of this role, and the nature of bank shifts, you might be called to work, with little notice, so you must have experience, as well as the positive mindset needed to jump into an environment and getting stuck into work.
Hoist and Sling training is desirable, but not essential.
