25hrs + Bank Care Assistants – Elderly Residential Care

Bank Care Assistant Job – Grimsby & East Yorkshire – £9.75+ per hour – Flexible Working and Long-Term Shifts

Your new company
You will be working in services that specialise in working with clients with dementia, physical disabilities and mental health issues. We have clients currently looking for staff in Hull and Grimsby. The services are looking for regular bank workers (who can do at least 25hrs per week) through Hays Social Care to cover staff absence and holidays. Typical shifts will be full 12 hour days/nights and short days.

Your new role
You will be providing support to elderly service users with dementia and complex needs in a residential setting. You will provide excellent personalised care and companionship, promoting independence where possible. Duties will include personal care, feeding, moving and handling as well as supporting medication rounds.

What you’ll need to succeed

Be able to do 25+ hours per week, you will have at least 6 months previous care experience in elderly settings within the last 2 years. An NVQ 2 Level 2 in Health and Social care is desired but not essential.Preferably you will have an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (if you don’t, you can complete an application through us free of charge).
You will also be able to provide 2 references from the past 2 years
