You will work as part of a management team providing leadership and supervision to a large group of staff and deputising for the Unit Manager as required.
You will take an active part in managing sickness and absence of staff. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the unit, including staff cover.
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and auditing of care plans and in leading the assessment and review process for individuals. This will also include the admission and discharge of residents.
You will take an active part in ordering and auditing medications for individuals as prescribed.
You will also take an active role in the disciplinary investigation procedures with staff as required, working closely with colleagues in HR.
Educational/Vocational Qualifications Required
SVQ 4 or above.
A Social Work, Health or equivalent qualification at degree level or equivalent which meets SSSC registration requirements or one of a range of relevant regulatory bodies.
Registered managers’ award or equivalent.
Please note that this post requires the applicant to be registered in the appropriate part of the SSSC (Scottish Social Service Council) register for supervisors.
