Job Title: Assistant Manager
Location: Garden View, Tweedbank
Hours: 30 hrs per week
Salary*: £15.42 – £16.97 per hour, £29,751.10 – £32,741.49 pro rata per annum
Contract: Temporary until 30/04/2024
Qualifications: SVQ 3 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. You can earn whilst you learn!
Training:All training is provided.
Requirements: PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered.
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join the friendly, dynamic and service user focussed team in Garden View.
Garden View is an Assessment Unit providing short term assessment and reablement for people discharged from Borders General Hospital who require additional support prior to returning home. Garden View has 23 beds across three units with one 8 bed unit dedicated to providing a specific reablement function.
You will have responsibility for assessing care needs, developing support plans and monitoring care delivery in one of the three Units and, for the supervision of staff working in that unit.
Alongside three other Assistant Managers, you will support the Manager in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to service users who are being assessed for appropriate packages of care. You will be responsible for the day to day running of Garden View when on duty including the management of care delivery and staff, dealing with visiting professionals e.g. GPs, District Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and liaising with family members as required.
You will require to have experience working in Social Care and be able to demonstrate your practice aligns with the Scottish Health and Social Care Standards.
