The Community Care Resources Team encompasses a wide range of Community Care services designed to enable and support individuals to remain within their own homes for as long possible.
The post holder will be part of this team and assist in the organisation, administration, supervision and delivery of Home Care and associated support services; also participate in the training programme for Home Care staff.
Responsibilities will include allocating staff duties, covering staff absences, liaising with health and social work colleagues regarding service users care provision and dealing with day to day issues, in absence of Home Support Organiser.
Applicants should possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work under pressure. The role requires the post holder to manage and organise computer systems and therefore he/she must be able to demonstrate computer competency.
Whilst no formal qualifications are essential all applicants must be committed to obtaining the competencies that will be required by the Care Commission.
As services are provided over 7 days the post holder will be required to participate in a rota that includes working some evenings and weekends.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults.
This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must complete registration within the first 6 months of employment).
