Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) – South West England Contract

Job Title:                                  Approved Mental Health Professional
Contract Length:                       3-month initial interim contract
Location:                                  South West of England Local Authority. Hybrid working, full-time Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Pay rate:                                   £35-£45 per hour (umbrella)
IR35 Status:                             Inside IR35

Interviews will take place ASAP with the view that you could start soon thereafter.

They are looking for an experienced individual who can hit the ground running and play an integral part in their team.

Your role as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):

• Underlying Mental Health Act assessments and referrals
• Duty AMHP work collaborating with colleagues across adult social care and health
• Develop and maintain relationships with service users, recognising the user’s needs
• Supporting relatives and carers in their roles through the provision of care.

Your experience as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP):

• Qualified Social worker and approved Mental Health practitioner with current or recent warrant
• You will have extensive knowledge around mental health policies and practices
• You will have practised as an AMHP in the last 12 months
• Have managed a case-load of complex cases
• Have managed a team of direct reports and be confident to lead
• 2/3 Years’ experience of working within an AMHP role
