Duration: Permanent. Full Time

We are delighted to be in a position to advertise the post of Appropriate Adult Co-ordinator whose role is to manage the day to day operational responsibilities of this statutory service, including its development and training of staff.

The Appropriate Adult Co-ordinator may be required to meet some of the demands on the OOHS rota evenings and weekends.

About the role:

The post holder will be the lead responsible professional for managing the day-to-day operational activity and oversight/assurance of the Appropriate Adult service within the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

The post holder requires a good standard of education with a minimum of English & Math Standard Grade / O Grade or equivalent.

Experience in the field of Social Care, in particular working with adults who have a mental health, learning disability, an autistic spectrum disorder, dementia and / or acquired brain injury

PVG Membership for regulated work with Children and Vulnerable Adults.

Responsibilities

The post holder, as a minimum, needs to demonstrate skills and experience in:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organisational and interpersonal skills and team working skills

An ability to use initiative to develop relationships with people from a range of social and professional backgrounds.

Ability to use own initiative, prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.

Knowledge of Appropriate Adult Services & Mental Disorder

Must be highly motivated.

Ability to work across disciplines and agencies in a partnership way.
