You will be working for a local authority that is looking to welcome experienced Mental Health Professionals who are enthusiastic in contributing to the culture of the organisation with new talent.

Your new role
Working with the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Team Manager, you will supervise a high-performing AMHP service and provide professional practise oversight to support and foster excellent statutory AMHP practise. You will provide leadership and management for the development and delivery of Surrey’s wider mental health service. You will also support the growth of Trainee AMHPs.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Up to date knowledge of relevant policies in relation to social care processes
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Significant post qualification experience and some management experience, including some experience in a social care setting
• Demonstrable evidence of providing effective professional supervision to AMHPs and less experienced colleagues
• A willingness and ability to travel across Surrey in accordance with the demands of the work and job profile.
• Professional qualification in social work and registered with the relevant registration authority and adhere to their standards for conduct, performance and ethics.
• Be a practising and approved AMHP
