Allocation Officer – GLA08735 Part Time

Job Description

An Allocation Officer is required to support the Temporary Accommodation Allocation Team within Homelessness Services.  Allocation Officers work in a small team co-ordinating and prioritising referrals for homeless accommodation.  Working with a variety of agencies is essential as well as making decisions on all aspects of allocations using sound judgement.  Working knowledge of the legislation and guidance of homelessness is desirable as is awareness of the complex needs of service users and an appreciation of relevant legislation and Code of Guidance. Duties will include monitoring all referrals and risk assessments, preparation of management information on the supply and demand of temporary accommodation and ensuring that allocations are made in fair and consistent manner.  

These posts are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
