ADVANCED OT – ONGOING SUPPORT – PART TIME – WILTSHIRE
Your new company
Wiltshire currently have a permanent part time (18.5 hours per week) opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist within their Ongoing Support Team based in the South of Wiltshire (in and around Salisbury). The Occupational Therapy staff have support from a Principal Occupational Therapist and alongside this they offer peer supervision with Advanced Practitioner colleagues in the county to share practice and contribute to projects.
Your new role
This is a leadership role and you will be expected to work closely with the Leadership Team on a day-to-day basis to support the wider team. You will provide supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapists and other social care staff in the team and will have a responsibility for screening work coming into the team and prioritising work for allocation. You will manage a small complex caseload and you will need to have a good understanding/experience/knowledge of social care and housing legislation.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with evidence of post-qualifying learning and development and will have evidenced experience of professional and personal development following achievement of professional qualification, likely to be a minimum of 2 years post-qualification. You will need to have experience and ability to work in partnership with health colleagues with a confident and can-do attitude and have a working knowledge of the complexities of risk assessments and risk management.
