Coventry City Council looking for a qualified social worker to join the adoption team at the Broadgate House in the city centre.

Your new role

As an experienced children social worker for the adoption team in Coventry City Council, your main responsibility will be working with children in care that have a plan for being adopted. You will support them during the transition to their new home.

You will work closely with other social workers from the local authority to make sure the best outcome is achieved for the children and families.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker – completed ASYE plus at least 1 year post qualifying experience -, registered with Social Work England. As a future social worker for the adoption team in Coventry City Council, you will have knowledge of relevant children’s and adoption legislation. Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required – along with experience within an adoption team.

You will be child focused, very committed, motivated, and well-organised, and you will be able to prioritise tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
