Job Description

Two Activities Facilitators are required for 37 hours per week, working within Taigh Shìphoirt, a 52-bedded care home including an additional 11-bedded respite wing, and Bremner Court, which consists of 35 independent flats, within the Goathill Complex.

You will plan, prepare and undertake a variety of activities and outings in consultation with Residents, Care Home Manager, Staff and Relatives of residents in a Care Home for Older Adults including Adults with Dementia.

Requirements

Experience of working within a Care Setting is essential along with the ability to work with behaviours that challenge services. You will be able to forward plan / schedule and undertake activities and have the ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others. The postholder will need to be flexible and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.

The wearing and use of PPE is essential in this role.
