Provide a wide range of activities to interest and stimulate the physical and mental wellbeing of the client group and guide the staff in the home activity programme. This role will require flexible and weekend working.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic about supporting service users to have fun, engage in meaningful activities whilst also maintaining a caring nature.
There will be an expectation for the candidate to plan and follow through with activities, source and implement new ideas and maintain all relevant paperwork.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
Shift Pattern: Shifts will likely be mid morning to late afternoon from Monday- Friday. Shift times can be agreed with some flexibility for the right candidate but would need to cover key times during the day when activities are held. Flexibility would be advantageous to allow for occasional shifts in evenings or weekends for special events, activities and entertainment.
