Activities Coordinator – Learning Disabilities
Your new role
One of the UK’s largest and most reputable charities is seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join the team to aid in the Planning, designing, communicating and delivery of a range of suitable activities to help meet the needs of service users and their support network/carers.
What you’ll need to succeed
In-depth understanding, knowledge and empathy of the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities in everyday life.
Solid IT competency including Microsoft Office, search engines, database systems and other technology in the workplace.
Experience of designing, planning and delivering training activity programmes for people with learning and other disabilities that achieve desired outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to adapt to meet individual’s needs.
Solid understanding of safeguarding, preventing abuse and positive risk- taking approaches.
Experience and understanding of recording, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on individual’s progress and achievements.
Able to manage and resolve conflict with diplomacy and to deal with challenging situations and behaviours.
Able to plan and organise workload effectively and according to agreed priorities and targets.
Passionate, creative, engaging and welcoming Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to maximise the impact of service provisions.

An annual salary of between £20,220 rising to £22,422 (Full time).
Hours of Work – Full time 35 hrs per week (Working 5 days per week on a rota basis – Monday to Saturday)
