North Lanarkshire Council are seeking to appoint a self motivated and enthusiastic individual with responsibility for the development and growth of effective stakeholder consultations, communications and data exchange as part of the Neighbourhood Connections Initiative.
You will have principal accountabilities for building new and growing existing projects and relationships and behaviour change and Active Travel initiatives across North Lanarkshire.
Educated to degree standard or equivalent in a related discipline, you will be able to demonstrate moderate experience of working in a relevant field e.g. GIS, Project and / or Community Development.
An effective communicator, you will have a firm understanding of the benefits of collaborative working to achieve common goals and be able to establish positive working relationships with many different partners/stakeholders.
You will also be required to prepare regular reports and therefore it is essential that you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and applications.
Naturally, you will possess good problem solving and analytical skills, be able to work independently, manage your workload effectively and undertake training where necessary.
Previous experience of establishing and managing effective monitoring procedures to record qualitative and quantitative data (including mapping) for effective reporting and evaluation purposes and for planning future initiatives to encourage behaviour change and modal shift, together with experience of budget monitoring and working with external funders would also be advantageous.
Some working outside normal working hours including weekends, evenings and public holidays may be required from time to time.
A driver’s licence and the ability to travel throughout the Lanarkshire area are required for this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
