This Accommodations Officer will be based within the Abercorn Street Service a key function will be to support the development of the accommodation service, to strengthen the service’s ability to manage its resources and be able to provide suitable temporary accommodation efficiently, and which meets the new standards being proposed by the Scottish Government.
You will contribute to an audit of Renfrewshire’s temporary accommodation, making recommendations to ensure that the service is fit for purpose in relation to effective management, supply and standards of accommodation.
You must have relevant experience of working with other agencies and departments together with effective IT, numeracy and communication skills.You will ensure that key protocols and procedures with partner agencies and departments are effective, you will also be required contribute to reports and recommendations that will improve the effectiveness of the accommodation service. A working knowledge of homelessness and developments in national housing policy is also required.
Normal hours of duty are 35 hours per week to be worked as directed between Monday to Sunday, you may be required to work extended hours during evenings and weekends including attendance at meetings and conferences/seminars as required.If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
