Based in 15 Abercorn Street, Paisley, PA3 4AA.
You will be based within our staffed accommodation for homeless clients and will offer advice to the public on a wide range of housing issues relating to both public and private sector housing e.g. advice to those facing eviction or in need of repairs to their properties, or any other general housing issues faced by all clients.
You must have recent relevant experience including: experience of dealing with the public; clerical experience and computerised record keeping; liaising with a wide range of agencies; understanding the needs of homeless people; and a basic knowledge of current homeless legislation.
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative; build good relations with residents and deal effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds is essential. The ability to manage emergency situations and to deal sympathetically with clients in stressful situations is important.
You will be part of a staff team who provide cover at the staffed accommodation units, operating 24 hours a day and will be required to work a combination of day/night-shifts on a 12 hour shift pattern, working 4 days on then 4 days off with the ability to work overtime when necessary.
