8x Children Social Workers for Help and Protection Contract

As the preferred supplier for Coventry City Council, HAYS is looking for 8x Social Workers to join the Help and Protection division in the Children Services.

2x posts based in each of the 4 areas of the city: Foleshill Road (central), Henley area (east), Coundon (west) and Willenhall (south)

As a senior social worker for Coventry City Council for the Help and Protection division, you will be undertaking assessments and Child in Need work.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker – completed ASYE plus 1 year experience -, registered with Social Work England. As a future children’s social worker, you will have knowledge of relevant children’s legislation and Social Care provision. Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required. You will be very committed, motivated, and well-organised, and you will be able to prioritise tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.

You will need to be a driver with access to own car.

What you’ll get in return

You will be offered a competitive hourly rate of £33.30, and you will be able to work in the office and from home where it is suitable – office based at least 40% of the time during the week.
