Your new role
Birmingham City Council are looking to recruit Qualified Occupational Therapists within their Early Intervention Community team. EICT (Early Intervention Community Team) has 5 localities city-wide, there are of course cross overs near borders:
Referrals come into EICT step up and step down. Step up: Gps, relatives, citizens, CSW (eg) Step down: acute sector, rehab Citizens receive Initial Assessment within 2hrs, 24 hrs or 2 days according to urgency. Team is MDT; OT, PT, RN, CCM, ANP, Rehab Assistants Citizens have rehab, equipment, social and medical needs. All visits are face to face. Community experience an advantage, however MDT working facilitates knowledge. Flexibility is required across the Birmingham area as the service operates from 08:00 – 22:00, 7 days per week. Candidates must have transport, be keen and be flexible with shifts. Any combination/ hours considered. Service runs using RiO data system so training will need to take place.
