This course will develop your knowledge and understanding of autism and the principles of supporting individuals with autism through a person-centred approach and positive communication. You will learn how individuals with autism process sensory information; the common misconceptions surrounding autism; and how speech, language and communication may differ in people with autism. It can help you progress within employment in a variety of sectors, and in a number of job roles where an understanding of autism and knowledge of how to support people with autism is required. Learning takes between 12 and 24 weeks and successful completion of coursework means you will achieve the NCFE Learning Curve Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism
