Homeless Centre’s Award For Drug Treatment Service

A FACILITY for homeless drug addicts has been commended for its good work.

Ty Gobaith, the Salvation Army Social Services Centre in Bute Street, Cardiff, won the Wales Drug Team of the Year Award for its Bridge Programme, which provides residential treatment services.

The facility focuses on the causes and consequences of substance misuse, and offers support and counselling to help service users become independent.

Congratulating the team, Wales Office Minister Huw Irranca-Davies said: “This reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff.”
