Social Services Summit 2006 Success

The Social Services Summit 2006 hosted at Cardiff has proved to be a great success with Senior Staff, Members and Ministers in attendance.
The summit saw presentations by Graham Williams, Chief Inspector (SSIW) looking at the early lessons from the second round of Joint Reviews, a case study by Torfaen on their recent positive Joint Review. Jan Williams from the National Leadership and Innovation Agency for Health outlined opportunities for collaborative working with the NHS and local government. Also representatives from the ADSS outlined work in action “Improvement and Collaboration”.       
The summit also saw the official launch of the new Social Services Improvement Agency and Chris Davies and Beverlea Frowen outlined the first years work programme for the agency.
