NI social care workers reminded on compulsory registration deadline
The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) are reminding the social care workforce about the importance of registering with them.
In June 2015 Health Minister Simon Hamilton announced his intention to introduce compulsory registration for social care workers in domiciliary care and day care settings.
All social care workers are required to be registered with NISCC by March 2017. NISCC are working with employers to help ensure their employees are registered within the timescale, enabling them to continue to work after March 2017.
In the coming months a series of workshops on registration will take place and NISCC will share information about these over the next few weeks.
