Health Minister Mary Harney is reportedly due to announce a major centralisation of IrelandHealth Minister Mary Harney is reportedly due to announce a major centralisation of Ireland’s cancer services today.

Reports this morning say Ms Harney and the HSE will announce plans to streamline all cancer care into eight specialised centres nationwide.

The centres will reportedly be located at a number of hospitals in Dublin, as well as in Cork, Limerick, Galway and possibly Waterford.

This morning’s reports say smaller hospitals will no longer be allowed to provide cancer care.
