New £3.7m Sutton care home creates 40 new jobs

FORTY new jobs are being created in Sutton thanks to the opening of a £3.7m state-of-the-art residential care home.

The new home, which will be called Ashcroft, will open after Bank House Care Homes bought a three-storey property containing 53 en-suite bedrooms on Langton Road from the LNT Group.

It will provide care for elderly people, including those with dementia, and will be Bank House’s fourth home in the area.

Kris Sooriah, director of the company, said up to 40 new jobs have been created by the latest addition to its group.

“This is a luxurious home which continues our ethos of providing accommodation where older people are valued,” said Kris, a former nurse himself.

“Ashcroft has taken nearly a year to build and we are delighted with the finished results.

“All the bedrooms are high-spec with flat screen televisions, internet access and telephones to add to our communal rooms.”

Bank House Care Homes’ other homes are smaller units and include Bank House in Church Street and Bluebell Lodge in Ashfield Street in Sutton, as well as the Fernleaf home on Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield.

The company has received backing for its new acquisition from Yorkshire Bank and hopes that it will cement its reputation for providing top quality care.
